OAHU-HAWAII WEATHER

A lot of people ask me about Oahu-Hawaii weather. Well the only thing I can say is that year round the weather is perfect. The temperature ranges from 75 degrees Fahrenheit to 88 degrees Fahrenheit day and night. For a quick annual average temperature you are looking at 77.2 degrees Fahrenheit. It rains about 22” per year but even when it rains, is lasts for a few minutes and then the beautiful Hawaiian sun continues to shine and there is always a pleasurable trade wind. That is all just part of Oahu-Hawaii weather. It is never cold in Oahu except on higher mountain elevations. The warmest and driest part of Oahu is the southwest coast. The northeast coast is wetter. The following is a snapshot of Oahu -Hawaii weather.

These are average highs and lows by month:

These are only averages. The temperature can top 90 degrees several days per year. Although the temperatures are great, there is more humidity in the islands, but that is what the trade winds are for.

The ocean water also has very little variance. It also is pretty much perfect all year long. Here are average sea water temperatures for Honolulu by the month:

When discussing Oahu Hawaii weather, we should discuss hurricanes and Tsunamis. Tsunamis and hurricanes are always a threat in the Hawaiian Islands, but they are very rare and almost never happen. The last hurricane to hit the island and do damage was Hurricane Iniki. Hurricane Iniki hit the Island of Kauai and caused most of the damage there. Iniki was the most powerful hurricane to hit Hawaii in recorded history and it hit on September 11, 1992
