Oahu Gay Shopping

Oahu gay shopping areas are found right in the heart of Waikiki. A trip to Oahu would not be complete without “cruising” through the International Marketplace. Although this area is not an all Gay shopping area, you will find plenty of friendly faces, hot bodies and nice merchandise here. The International Marketplace is located on Kalakaua Avenue across from the main Waikiki tourist beach.

If you want a store that caters exclusively to gays and lesbians, check out 80% Straight. This is a great store packed with swimwear, underwear, active wear, great gay oriented T-shirts, videos, Cds, Gay greeting cards, books and other such accessories. This is the only all gay store in Hawaii.

Another great store in Waikiki is located in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. This quaint shop is called Newts at the Royal. Although Newt’s is a little more pricey, you will get the real thing. They have the real Montecristi Panama Hats for both men and women. Newts also carries a large supply of retro print Aloha shirts from the 1940”s and 1950”s. If you want the real thing, you can get it at newts. While at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, take a walk through the lobby. This is one of the first two hotels ever built in Oahu. This hotel can also get pretty cruisy.

If you have a morning to shop and want to find great items at bargain basement prices, take a trip to the Aloha Flea Market. You will see a lot of hot bodies there too.
