HOOMALUHIA BOTANICAL GARDENS





Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens is a 400 acre rainforest garden located in Kaneohe at the foot of the koolau mountains below the towering Pali cliffs. Hoomaluhia means “to make a place of peace and tranquility”. This beautiful Garden is an exquisite botanical garden with plants from tropical regions all over the world. The vegetation is so dense and lush you will feel like you are in Jurassic Park. The Botanical Garden contains hundreds of flowers, fruits, bushes, vines and trees.

The garden contains a 32 acre manmade lake, meadows, streams, footbridges and picnic pavilions, camping and numerous meandering trails along the lush koolau foothills. This Botanical Garden has the largest collection of tropical plants in the United States. The gardens include; a palm collection, Lyon orchid garden, pre historic glen, hybrid orchid display, exceptional trees. There are also some fantastic ocean views from different vantage points within The Garden. You will probably get your best vacation pictures right here at this beautiful Garden. This is a place to relax, get great photos and recharge your soul.

DIRECTIONS

Take Pali Hwy to Kamehameha Hwy north towards Kaneohe. Turn left on Luluku Rd. Follow signs to Garden Entrance.
