There are plenty of Oahu activities to keep you busy while on your vacation. You can swim in some of The best beaches in Hawaii, you can surf and even take surfing lessons right in Waikiki. You can discover Oahu underwater and scuba dive in some of the best locations in Hawaii. You may choose to snorkel in world famous snorkel locations such as Hanauma Bay. Other Oahu activities include kayaking or Outrigger canoeing on Waikiki Beach just like the Kings of ancient Hawaii did. There are some awesome hiking trails inside volcanic craters or to local waterfalls and rainforests. Horseback riding on the north shore is another great option to get out and see the natural beauty of Oahu. If you are a golfer, world class Oahu golf courses are the perfect place for you. Oahu’s golf courses offer natural beauty. There is nothing like golfing in paradise. Another great Oahu activity for the avid fisherman is deep sea fishing for marlin. Don’t forget to bring the sunscreen. For your choice of many different activities including horseback riding and ATV riding, check out Kualoa Ranch Near Kaneohe Bay on the northeast side of Oahu. Can you imagine swimming with dolphins Right near Waikiki, or riding down the street in a World War II amphibious vehicle called The Duck and it drives right into the ocean? How would you like to come face to face with a shark? Safely of course, in a shark cage. On Oahu’s Shark Tour located on the north shore, you will see gray reef sharks, Galapagos, sandbar and hammerhead sharks ranging from 5 - 15 feet just inches from your face. Observing these fascinating creatures without fear of attack is an awesome experience.

Another great choice for an adventure is to take a fly/drive package toe another island for the day. If you take a fly/drive to Hilo on the big island of Hawaii, you can drive to the beautiful and very tall Akaka falls and then drive over to the Volcanoes National Park and see a real active volcano and watch the lava flow into the sea. On the way back, you can stop and see the black sand beach or even drive to a green sand beach. If time allows you can stroll through the beautifully peaceful Lilioukalani gardens in Hilo.
