Royal Dolphin Swim
Imagine if you could swim with dolphins in Oahu. Hawaii is home to 8 different species of dolphins but the most famous and recognizable are the bottlenose dolphins. Atlantic bottlenose dolphins can reach up to 10 feet in length and are easily identified by their rounded forehead, or melon and their friendly expression. These dolphins are seen alone or in small groups and spend most of their time swimming in the channels between the islands.
There are two places on Oahu where you can legally swim with dolphins:
Sea Life Park
Sea Life Park has an area they call Dolphin Discovery swim. From waist deep water you get the chance to experience swimming with these amazing animals. Sea Life Park offers one swim that they call the Royal Dolphin Swim. Besides shaking hands and kissing the dolphins along with other interactions, you get an exhilarating and thrilling dorsal fin ride and a breathtaking foot push through the water. The dolphins are very well trained and very friendly.
