Clyde Aikau is the owner of Aikau Pure Hawaiian Surf Academy. Clyde’s fame as a big wave surfer recently won him recognition as a “Waikiki Surf Legend” by the Duke Paoa Kahanamouku foundation. Clyde and his brother were city and county lifeguards for Waimea Bay for over 7 years. Books were written and Movies were made about Eddie Aikau who died in an attempt to save the lives of his fellow crewmen on the Hawaiian sailing canoe “Hokulea”. Clyde has won championships in Hawaii and international championships in Hawaii and Peru.
