Are you looking to find an Oahu gay hiking group and adventure out of Waikiki to see some of the more beautiful sights? There is a group you can join called liki hike. This is a fun group of guys that meet on designated Sundays at 9:00 A.M. in front of Mc Donalds in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. ( Ala Moana Shopping Center is within walking distance of Waikiki. You can also take the city bus.). This group has different itineraries throughout the year. If you are interested in joining this group, contact Ed at Likehike@Earthlink.net. If you are joining for the first time, make sure you contact Ed. First.
Beside Like Hike, the only “Oahu gay hiking group”, There are many other great hikes that are close to Waikiki, I suggest Diamond Head Crater or Manoa Falls.
Diamond Head Crater is a moderate hike and the trail can get pretty “HOT”. Yeah there are a lot of hot guys in hiking shorts, but I am talking about hot as in the sun. There is no shade on the trail and it gets pretty steep. You will walk through a pitch black tunnel, so bring a flashlight. This historical hike will lead you through World War II military bunkers and lookouts. After climbing the hundreds of steep stairs, you will reach the summit. At the summit, you will get the best view of Waikiki in Oahu. The view alone is worth the walk. Bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water.

Manoa Falls is a short easy hike for just about anybody. The trail is wet and gets muddy and you will cross several streams. Remember you are in a rainforest full of guava trees. After passing the guava trees you will enter a bamboo forest. The bamboo trees offer a lot of great photo opportunities. At the end of the trail, you will reach Manoa falls. Manoa falls is a very beautiful and romantic spot. You may even find a nice spot in the rainforest for a romantic interlude with your partner. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent since this is a rainforest. Bring your camera to take pictures of the hunks that dive from the cliffs above the falls into the pool below.
